major event in the marine science calendar in the
UK this year held at NOC Southampton.
Of course Planet Ocean and our technology
partners will be in attendance and available to

ASL
Environmental Sciences
of B.C Canada will be showcasing their new
multi-frequency water column profiler
which is designed to detect and measure
zooplankton, fish, or sediment. Also
on show will be the shallow water ice keel
profiler (SWIPS).
Building
on last years upgraded versions, ASL will be
running workshops on their shallow water ice
keel profiler (SWIPS) and multi frequency
WCP water column profiler.
Waiting to help you on
stand G-12
will be
Jan Buermans.
AXYS Technologies Inc,
also of B.C Canada will be
featuring their TRIAXYS
directional wave buoy
which will be available to see on stand
G-12. TRIAXYS will also form the basis
of a classroom workshop session where
delegates can learn more about it's
capabilities and supporting software
systems.
AXYS will also be running a workshop
covering their WATCHMAN-500
data acquisition
and telemetry system, and software.
WM-500 forms the heart of most of the AXYS
metocean systems including their
comprehensive range of data buoys, and land
based meteorological stations.
Based
on their extremely flexible yet cost
effective core
WatchMan500™
technology, AXYS can monitor a variety of
real-time, remote industrial or
environmental applications including water &
air quality, and ground based
environmental/pollution sensing. All of
these systems can be combined with any
meteorological sensors & systems to produce
a complete snapshot of local conditions and
historical trend analysis.
Waiting to help you on
stand G-12
will be
Harry Weiler, Don Bryan and Reo Phillips.
Satlantic
from Halifax Nova
Scotia will exhibiting in the Atlantic Canada
pavilion and will
showcasing SUNA
(Submersible
Ultraviolet Nitrate Analyser)
the latest in their line of leading edge water
quality monitoring sensors. SUNA provides real
time, chemical-free nitrate calculations in
coastal and freshwater environments. Based on the proven MBARI-ISUS
nitrate sensor, SUNA has been
redesigned for lower cost and easy integration
into existing water monitoring systems. Satlantic
will be running a workshop on SUNA for
existing and potential users.
Satlantic will also be running a training
and demonstration session on board NOC's
Bill Conway. This will feature the
Profiler II, free fall hyperspectral optical
profiler.
There to answer your questions will be Cyril
Dempsey and Geoff Macintyre.
Planet
Ocean
Along
with ASL and AXYS, Planet Ocean will be
featuring a selection of systems from their
other technology partners.
DSPComm Acoustic modems, Star-Oddi
miniature temperature and salinity loggers.
XEOS submersible Iridium satellite beacons and SiS
ARGOS beacons together with Elkins
Oceanic deep ocean swivels and their
new plunge corer.
Terry & Carole Sloane will be on hand to
