MELO  Surface Mooring Marker:    

Melo is an independently powered, self-contained satellite transceiver packaged in a ruggedized, UV protected marine grade housing suitable for attachment to various surface buoys and navigational markers. Melo makes use of the low power, real time Iridium satellite constellation and GPS to reliably transmit the buoy's position automatically or on demand at any time. Melo’s one piece, user replaceable battery pack is designed to provide three years of normal reporting or over 3000 bi-directional messages. Melo data is delivered via the email-based Short Burst Message (SBD) Iridium service making Melo easy to use and less expensive than traditional one-way satellite watch circle services.

    FRESNO Data Logger:    

    The Fresno line of data loggers are specifically designed for demanding environmental and industrial applications. Fresno is a compact temperature or temperature and pressure recorder. Fresno is deployed to fill various scientific data collection requirements such as in streams, lakes and oceanographic applications as well as industrial applications such as drinking water supply, waste water monitoring and perishable food, drug and medical supply transportation and storage. Fresno loggers are available in delrin acetal and titanium housings. Each Fresno logger is calibrated to exacting standards and is fully tested for reliable measurement. All Fresno loggers make use of a rechargeable battery system meaning no need for battery replacement resulting in savings and no semi-sealed access points which can fail. The Fresno logger also makes use of short-range wireless and USB technology for fast and reliable initialization and downloading of collected data.

    Serrano:   Marine Bio-telemetry Video Recording TDR:     

    Serrano is a digital video recorder with an integrated Temperature and Depth Recorder (TDR) suitable for attachment to large marine animals such as leatherback turtles. Serrano is intended for short, in-situ, intensive behavioural studies. Serrano incorporates a 900MHz spread spectrum two-way radio transceiver for command and control functionality within line of sight from an at-sea base station. Serrano also makes use of a unique, one touch, radio-controlled function that automatically releases the tag from its subject upon receiving the remote radio command. The very low light CCD camera sensor provides Serrano with the capability to overcome poor light level conditions.
